Keys & Synths

Every keyboard and synth prompt in the glossary. Every prompt stands alone: paste it into the Styles field as-is, or combine it with elements from other songs. The song name links to the full blueprint, where you will find what is actually making the sound and how the whole production fits together. Slider settings and standard excludes live on the glossary landing page.

Getting specific effects

The vocabulary that tends to steer Suno toward classic keyboard effects. These describe what the effect sounds like rather than naming gear, which is how Suno listens. Treat every phrase as a starting point, drop it into a fuller prompt, and expect to adjust by ear.

Rotary swirl

Tape warble

Filter sweep

The synth opening from muffled to bright (or closing back down) in one long gesture, like a curtain drawn across the sound.

Detuned analog warmth

Two oscillators slightly out of tune with each other, making the synth sound wide, thick, and faintly seasick in the best way.

Glassy digital bells

Crystalline, bell-like keys with a bright attack and a clean, cold shimmer. The polished digital sound of late-80s ballads.

The audible result of a mixing trick; describing the breathing works better than naming the technique.
