When Suno gets it wrong

Too clean. The genre’s number-one failure: a pleasant pop song with a little echo. The haze is the genre — reinforce with washed-out, hazy, reverb-soaked, blurred and exclude the enemies: polished, crisp, radio-ready, dry in Exclude Styles.

Vocals too upfront. Dream pop mixes the voice into the wash, not on top of it. The phrase vocals blended into the mix or slightly buried vocals does the work; if the model keeps producing a pop-forward lead vocal, strengthen to distant ethereal vocals.

Too sleepy. The flip-side failure: so much haze the song has no pulse. Anchor the rhythm section — steady driving drums — and lift the mood word from “floating” to “soaring” or “euphoric.” Great dream pop is a heartbeat inside a cloud, not just the cloud.
